Prior to deciding upon our foundation herd, we became extremely familiar with the top blood-lines paying special attention to horn growth and color.

Personally, we prefer the “outward” horn growth as compared to “upward.” Considering horn measurements are recorded from tip-to-tip, the outward growth made more economical sense.

We also prefer the red & white spotted color and researching the blood-lines allows us to make a more educated guess concerning future offspring.
