The “B&L Ranch,” located in Lamasco Texas approximately an hour north-east of Dallas, was established in June 2007 after “Bryce” asked his fiancé “Louella” for her hand in marriage while standing under the large Oak trees overlooking one of the ponds.

Bryce
had envisioned owning a small ranch since he was a child running around on his
grandfather’s land in Lamasco. His grandfather was a WWII Veteran and after
Bryce graduated, he followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and enlisted in the
U.S. Army volunteering in the elite Airborne Infantry. During that time, he
continued to dream about his little ranch and envisioned those future pastures
spotted with Texas Longhorn cattle.
Meanwhile,
Louella who was raised in Van Alstyne also envisioned a future home located on
few acres. She had always loved the serenity of the country and enjoyed being
outdoors. Throughout her life, she had always been around horses and knew that
eventually she wanted to breed and raise Quarter Horses.
Though separated by 6,179 miles for over twenty-years, destiny stepped-in and two dreams became a reality. On October 20, 2007 Bryce & Louella were married and, along with their sons Jeremy and Kris, established the “B&L Ranch.” In addition to a small herd of Registered Longhorn Cattle, the “B&L Ranch” is currently called home by a few Quarter and Paint Horses, a pure-bred Buffalo, and one Pygmy Goat.
